Hey there YC3 fam! Thanks for joining us! YC3 is only a few months away, so let’s get right to our first Celebrity Announcement!
Our first guest announcement has had a career that has spanned over 25 years. She was born in Odessa and raised in Dallas. She began her entertainment career as a child singer in the girl group KRUSH, which had a single featured on the Mo’ Money soundtrack. But her big break came when she went to an open call audition for the #1 kids show in America and beat out over 10,000 hopefuls and landed the role of Aisha the Yellow Power Ranger on Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers and the hit movie “Power Rangers the Movie.” That’s right; Aisha the Yellow Ranger is coming to Yellow City Comic Con! It’s our pleasure to announce Karan Ashley as a celebrity guest for YC3!
Karan went on to appear on Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper, The Steve Harvey Show, One on One, The Parkers, Kenan & Kel, The Encounter and many other projects. She has worked with many successful companies such as MTV, BET, ABC, Nickelodeon, Disney, WB, 20th Century Fox, Asiatic Productions and formed the production company GAG Order films. Currently she stars in the webseries “Class Dismissed” alongside fellow Ranger Nakia Burrise, and this year she will star in a upcoming short movie “The Order” alongside many of the actors from the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers.
Even though Karan has worn many hats she is first and foremost an actress and makes several personal appearances at conventions for those still who want to meet their childhood hero from Power Rangers. She never forgets the original audience that supported her. We know you want to meet Karan, and we’ll be sure that you get plenty of chances to talk with her, grab an autograph, attend her panels, and even take a professional photograph with her this April.
YC3 2017 is April 28-30th, for tickets go to yellowcitycon.com and be sure to like us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat! Thanks for joining us at YC3TV, and we’ll be here again soon for another announcement!
