Jessi’s fascination and love for costuming started at her first convention when she was thirteen. In 2008 she created her first costume; a suit of Mandalorian armor. She developed from there and after going to many conventions and meeting many fascinating people across the spectrum of cultures became very involved with the steampunk community and started learning leatherwork on her own.

Years and hundreds of leather hides later, she still strives to create incredible, themed works of wearable art and costumes that her customers proudly wear. She loves to help people bring their original concepts to life and work hard to give her customers exactly what they need.

You can find Jessi and her staff all along the convention circuit where they run panels and judge costume contests throughout Texas.  She has been featured in numerous publications including Doctor Fantastique’s Show of Wonders and her work was used in several film projects and webseries including Song of the Starslayer and Antideluvian.

“At JAFantasyArt, we like to describe our work as “Next Level Costuming.” We are constantly trying new things with new materials and techniques to make our work more interesting and more unique. We love combining illustration and leatherworking to create fantastical three dimensional images on wallets, book covers, play mats, and all other sorts of items.”
